DR. ROBERT A CALICO JR. Dr. Robert A. Calico Jr. is Director of Academic Affairs, Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The school's mission is to provide master of science and doctor of philosophy degree programs for Air Force officers in the areas of engineering, science and management critical to maintaining the Air Force's technological superiority. Dr. Calico attended the University of Cincinnati where he earned bachelor of science, master of science and doctor of philosophy degrees in aerospace engineering. He authored more than 40 publications in the areas of flexible spacecraft dynamics and control, aircraft spin prediction and control of time periodic systems. Dr. Calico joined the faculty of the Graduate School of Engineering and Management in June 1972, where he has held the positions of assistant professor, associate professor and professor of aerospace engineering. He was appointed Dean of the Graduate School of Engineering and Management in July 1990.
