BRIGADIER GENERAL WENDY K. JOHNSON

Brig. Gen. Wendy K. Johnson is the Assistant Adjutant General – Air, Nebraska National Guard. She is responsible to The Adjutant General for leadership, management and command and control of Nebraska Air National Guard units to support both federal and state missions.

Brig. Gen. Johnson also serves in a dual-hat assignment as the Director, Air National Guard Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff for Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Arlington, Virginia. She supports the Deputy Chief of Staff in leadership, management and integration of Air Force logistics readiness, aircraft and missile maintenance, civil engineering and security forces.

Brig. Gen. Johnson was commissioned in 1988 at the Academy of Military Science, McGhee-Tyson Air National Guard Base, Tennessee. Her assignments include command at the flight, squadron and group levels. Her deployment history includes multiple deployments as a logistics readiness officer. She also deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom as Deputy Air Reserve Component Advisor for Air Force Central Command, Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar, and in support of Operation Unified Protector as the 313th Air Expeditionary Wing’s Mission Support Group Commander, Moron Air Base, Spain. Prior to her current position, she was the Director, Joint Staff for the Nebraska National Guard, Lincoln, Nebraska.
