ALLEIGH MARRÉ

Alleigh Marré, a member of the Senior Executive Service, serves as the Special Assistant and Chief of Staff to the 24th Secretary of the Air Force, Dr. Heather Wilson. In this position, Ms. Marré serves as the senior civilian advisor to the Secretary providing communications, legislative, managerial and policy support. She is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of the Secretary’s policies, goals and objectives throughout the Department of the Air Force.

Ms. Marré has a decade of strategic and crisis communications experience serving in political, government, and private industry capacities.

Prior to joining Secretary Wilson’s team, Ms. Marré served as the National Spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services. She also served as a communications advisor with the Presidential Transition team managing the public relations effort for the successful Senate confirmation of Secretary Wilson and also Defense Secretary James Mattis.

Ms. Marré served as National Press Secretary for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, where she acted as chief spokesperson for the committee and directed the communications strategy for senate races in Pennsylvania, Ohio, North Carolina, and New Hampshire.

Ms. Marré also served as Communications Director for Senator Susan Collins, and as spokesperson for Governor Scott Walker during his successful 2014 gubernatorial campaign. She was also Press Secretary for Senator Scott Brown in his 2012 re-election effort. As a Regional Press Secretary for the National Republican Congressional Committee, Ms. Marré advised candidates and campaigns to help Republicans win the largest House majority since 1928.

As an active advocate against domestic violence, Ms. Marré volunteers with displaced families at a women's shelter in Northern Virginia. Ms. Marré is a graduate of Emerson College in Boston, MA where she also competed in cross country and basketball. She is from Ballston Spa, NY and currently resides in Alexandria, VA with her husband and daughter.
