Brigadier General DAVID S. EAGLIN

Brig. Gen. David S. Eaglin is the Deputy Director for Operations, Headquarters, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. As the Deputy Director for Operations, he is the deputy principal military operations advisor to USINDOPACOM Commander for joint/combined military operations in USINDOPACOM. In this position, he monitors the disposition and readiness of assigned U.S. forces and allies, conducts joint/combined training and recommends employment options during crisis or contingency.

Brig. Gen. Eaglin was born in West Memphis, Arkansas, and earned his commission upon graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 1994. He graduated, with distinction, from Undergraduate Pilot Training at Columbus Air Force Base, Mississippi. Brig. Gen. Eaglin has served as an F-15C instructor pilot, flight examiner, flight commander, assistant director of operations, chief of standardization and evaluation, operations officer, squadron commander, vice wing commander and wing commander.

Brig. Gen. Eaglin has deployed in support of operations Northern Watch, Inherent Resolve and with an Air Forces Central Command theater security package. He is a command pilot with more than 2,500 flight hours. Prior to this assignment, the general served as the Commander, 18th Wing, Kadena Air Base, Japan; Deputy Commander, Seventh Air Force, Air Forces Korea; and Chief of Staff, Air Component Command, Osan Air Base, South Korea. He was responsible for training and equipping tactical air superiority forces, combat search and rescue forces, command and control platforms, aeromedical evacuation capability and global mobility resources for contingency operations.
