Brigadier General JASON E. BARTOLOMEI

Brig. Gen. Jason E. Bartolomei serves as the Program Executive Officer for Weapons and Director of the Armament Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. He is responsible for the planning and execution of all life cycle activities for air-delivered munitions, including the Stand-in Attack Weapon, Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile, Advance Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile, Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile, Joint Direct Attack Munition, and Small Diameter Bomb. His $92 billion portfolio also includes numerous other legacy weapons and ammunition, combat training systems, threat emitters for test and training purposes, and aerial targets including the QF-16.

Brig. Gen. Bartolomei was commissioned in 1997 from Marquette University’s Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps program.

During his career, he has held a variety of senior acquistion positions. He served as the Deputy of the Program, Budget, and Congressional Division, Global Reach Programs Directorate, Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition), where he supported the Air Force's tankers, airlift, special operations, and trainer fleets. He led the Joint Warfare Analysis Center’s Counter Terriorism Support Team. He also served as an engineer in the F-22 System Program Office and an assistant professor of engineering mechanics at the U.S. Air Force Academy. 

He was a Service Chiefs Fellow at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, a Military Legislative Fellow for Senator Orrin G. Hatch, and a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. He also served as a Chief of Staff of the Air Force Fellow, while assigned to the Johns Hopkins University’s Applied Physics Laboratory.

Prior to his current assignment, Brig. Gen. Bartolomei served as the Director, Sentinel Systems Directorate, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Hill AFB, Utah, where he was responsible for the development, deployment, and sustainment of the next-generation Intercontinental Ballistic Missile system.
