Major General DANIEL J. HEIRES

Maj. Gen. Daniel J. Heires is the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, Air Component Command, United Nations Command; Commander, Air Component Command, Combined Forces Command; and Commander, Seventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Osan Air Base, South Korea.

Maj. Gen. Heires was commissioned in 1986 through the University of Arizona’s ROTC program and earned his pilot wings in 1988 at Reese Air Force Base, Texas. He is a command pilot with more than 8,000 hours in multiple aircraft, including 100 combat and combat support missions across 10 major operations.

Prior to his current position, Maj. Gen. Heires served as the MA to the Commander, Alaskan Command; Commander, Alaskan North American Aerospace Defense Command Region and Commander Eleventh Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. His staff experience includes Special Operations Command Korea, Pacific Air Forces, Second Air Force, Air Education & Training Command, Third Air Force, U.S. Air Forces Europe and 17th Expeditionary Air Force, U.S. Air Forces Africa, U.S. Africa Command. He led an Inter-Agency team in a Presidential-directed transformation of the National Military Command System, under U.S. Strategic Command. His wartime commands include the 931st Air Refueling Group, 313th Expeditionary Operations Group, and 404th and 409th Air Expeditionary Groups.
