LIEUTENANT GENERAL BRADLEY C. HOSMER

Lieutenant General Bradley C. Hosmer is superintendent of the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo. He directs a four-year academic and military training program leading to a bachelors degree and commission as an Air Force officer.

The general entered the Air Force in 1959 as a member of the first graduating class of the academy, and is the first academy graduate to be named superintendent. He has served in a variety of staff positions, including vice director of the Joint Staff and Air Force inspector general. He also has commanded two Air Force fighter wings, an air division and served as president of the National Defense University, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington, D.C. The general is a command pilot and has flown more than 4,000 hours, principally in fighter aircraft.
