Brigadier General JOHN W. DOUCETTE

Brig. Gen. John W. Doucette is Inspector General, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia.  He leads more than 160 experts responsible for conducting more than 75 inspections annually.  By spearheading both a rigorous inspection schedule and an open-complaint resolution process, General Doucette ensures combat readiness, regulatory compliance, and complaint oversight for more than 225 active and gained units and more than 130,000 Airmen. 

General Doucette was born in Lawton, Oklahoma, and earned his commission through Officer Training School in 1986.  He has commanded the 36th Wing at Andersen AFB, Guam, and the 47th Flying Training Wing at Laughlin AFB, Texas.  He also commanded  a squadron and previously served in NATO, on the Joint Staff and at Headquarters, Air Combat Command.  The general has led combat missions in support of Operations Desert Storm, Provide Comfort and Northern Watch.  General Doucette is a graduate of the School of Advanced Air and Space Studies and also a distinguished graduate from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Fort McNair, Washington, D.C.  

Prior to his assignment to Air Combat Command, General Doucette was Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, Joint Warfare Centre, Supreme Allied Command for Transformation, North Atlantic Treaty Organization, Stavanger, Norway.  He is a command pilot with more than 2,700 flight hours primarily in the F-15C, T-38C and A/T-38B.
