KEVIN D. STAMEY

Kevin D. Stamey, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Director of Engineering and Technical Management, Air Force Sustainment Center, Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. He is responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of the Center's technical policies, processes, databases, and goals/standards as well as the overall scientific and engineering expertise for the AFSC. Mr. Stamey is the Center's senior engineering manager providing executive leadership and technical direction to a workforce of more than 4,500 science and engineering professionals. He supports the Center's mission at three locations (Robins AFB, Georgia., Hill AFB, Utah, and Tinker AFB, Oklahoma) encompassing depot maintenance/repair/overhaul activities; supply chain management; and a world class software maintenance and development enterprise.

Mr. Stamey’s 26 years of government service, began in 1988 as an aerospace engineer at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma.  Since then, he has served in a broad range of senior engineering positions in acquisition, sustainment, and maintenance organizations. He served as Director of Engineering for the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance, where he provided technical oversight of 69 programs and projects including six ACAT I programs. Mr. Stamey has also served as the Chief of the Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command Systems Engineering Division, and as Chief Engineer for the Cruise Missile Product Group for systems such as the Advanced Cruise Missile and the Conventional Air Launched Cruise Missile. Mr. Stamey’s assignments also included serving as the Chief Engineer for the E-3 System Sustainment Manager and as a project engineer for several systems including B-2, B-52 and other special projects.

Prior to his current assignment, he was the Director of Engineering and Technical Management for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Hanscom AFB, Massachuetts.
