'Today's Air Force' highlights new CSAF, Air Force Week

Air Force Television News released a new edition of "Today's Air Force" on Aug. 17.

On this episode's "Straight from the Top," Gen. Mark A. Welsh III talks about his priorities as the new Air Force chief of staff. Later, Staff Sgt. Shannon Ofiara shows viewers the Air Force chief of staff transition ceremony and what went into preparing it. And finally, viewers are given a little taste of what's in store for Air Force Week, New York City.

Viewers can watch the Air Force Week 2012 Opening Ceremonies on the Pentagon Channel or stream it live from www.af.mil Aug. 19 at 1 p.m. EDT.

There will also be a special edition of "Today's Air Force - Air Force Week" out Aug. 24.

This 30-minute, bi-weekly news show can be seen every day on the Pentagon Channel and American Forces Television Service stations around the world. The show also airs on more than 140 public cable-access stations within the U.S.
