Contact center expands hours

Airmen stationed overseas can now get real-time help with personnel issues without having to wake up at 3 a.m. thanks to the expanded hours of the contact center at the Air Force Personnel Center here.

Beginning Dec. 2, the new hours, 5 a.m. to 11 p.m. CST, will give people overseas a chance to talk with a customer service representative or chat via the Internet at a more convenient time.

"We've increased our hours to be able to help customers, especially our deployed men and women, at some point during their normal duty hours," said Maj. Alessandra Stokstad, chief of the contact center. "People won't have to get up at odd hours or stay at work late just to use our service."

People with questions about pay, assignments, benefits, employment and more can speak to a customer service representative toll free at (866) 229-7074. Online services, which include the chat feature, can be found at AFPC Web site by clicking the "Contact Center" button. (Courtesy of AFPC News Service)
