Four Air Force officers were chosen recently to participate in the service's Financial Management Leadership Program, designed to develop aerospace leaders with financial management and command experience.

Capts. Jeffrey Dibiasi, 52nd Munitions Support Squadron, Kleine Brogel, Belgium; John Gondol, 12th Space Warning Squadron, Thule Air Base, Greenland; Stephen Hoffman, Air Force Personnel Center, Randolph Air Force Base, Texas; and Gena Stuchbery, Air Education and Training Command, Randolph AFB, were selected for the program by a board at AFPC.

The program, which lasts between four and five years, begins with six weeks of professional development education at the Professional Military Comptroller School at Maxwell AFB, Ala.

Upon completion of that training, the four officers will transfer to the financial management staffs at either Air Combat Command, Air Mobility Command, United States Air Forces in Europe or AETC.

While on staff at a major command FM office, program participants will shadow local comptroller squadron commanders to gain a broader understanding of financial services, budget analysis, and planning and programming. After two to three years at a MAJCOM, program participants will take the reigns of a comptroller squadron within the same command.
