Gene Duran, 90th Civil Engineer Squadron unit deployment manager, scrambles to get out of the icy waters of Sloan Lake, Cheyenne, Wyo. during the second annual Matthew S. Schwartz Memorial Polar Plunge Jan. 4, 2013. Participants braved 16-degree air, and 30-degree water, temperatures to raise money for a foundation which helps wounded explosive ordnance technicians and their families.
