Air Commandos protect Florida wildlife

Airman 1st Class Caleb Pavao, a broadcaster with the 1st Special Operations Wing Public Affairs office, documents endangered wildlife conservation efforts at Hurlburt Field, Fla., Nov. 7, 2017. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Hurlburt Field worked with Eglin Air Force Base staff to create artificial nesting cavities in trees for the Red-cockaded Woodpecker, a process that can take one to 10 years for the bird to make.
