ECMO medical team transports newborn from Puerto Rico

Capts. Karen Long and James Bailey monitor the vital signs and blood flow of 3-day-old Stuart Parker aboard a C-17 Globemaster III on July 21. An Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation team comprised Air Force and Army medical specialists from the Wilford Hall Medical Center at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, flew to San Juan, Puerto Rico, to transport Stuart to San Antonio for more advanced care.
