There was a joint training mission conducted June 7, 2017, where the 910th Airlift Wing provided a C-130, the 914th AW provided a pilot and the 445th AES provided the training crew.

Air Force officials have announced 81 projected Air Force Reserve Officers’ Training Corps instructor vacancies and 13 detachment commander positions available for summer 2018. Officers eligible for instructor slots include first lieutenants, captains or majors. Active-duty rated officers, line of the Air Force lieutenant colonels and majors selected for lieutenant colonel may apply for detachment commander positions.

Lt. Col. Vianesa Vargas, joined the Joint Task Force - National Capital Region in support of the 58th Presidential Inauguration, which will take place Jan. 20, 2017. Vargas, the chief of Joint Team Records, is leading the movement of President Barack Obama’s records and artifacts from Washington D.C. to Hoffman Estates, Illinois, just on the outskirts of Chicago. She’s the lead logistician in charge of a joint team of Airmen and Soldiers who have been preparing semi-trucks full of artifacts. Many former presidents have a library in their namesake, showcasing many records and artifacts from their presidency. A library in honor of President Barack Obama is scheduled to open sometime in 2021 in Chicago, where records and archives from his presidency will be on display. However, the movement of items that will be on display aren’t transferred like a typical household goods move.

A Charleston C-17 Globemaster III and the 315th Airlift Wing's mini C-17 were popular attractions at the Yeovilton Air Day 2016 at Royal Naval Air Station Yeovilton, England July 2.
