A President's Advisory Commission member presents a lei to Lt. Col. Ravi Chaudhary May 6, 2014, during the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month opening ceremony in Washington, D.C. During the ceremony, Chaudhary was sworn in as a member of the President's Advisory Commission on AAPIs. As a commission member, Chaudhary is charged with working to improve the quality of life for AAPIs through increased participation in and access to federal programs. Airman becomes part of presidential advisory commission
With family, friends and co-workers in the audience the Air Force District of Washington executive officer sat among a group of leaders in the Asian American and Pacific Islander, or AAPI, community waiting to be sworn into the President's Advisory Commission on AAPIs May 6.
