John C. Meyer
John C. Meyer, by Willie Jones, Jr., was one of the highest scoring American aces in the European Theater of Operations during World War II. He scored 24 air-to-air and 13 ground kills. He also server during the Korea War flying a F-86 Sabre Jet. He shot down 2 MiG-15 Russia built jet fighters. John C. Meyer eventually rose to the rank of four-star General and commander of Strategic Air Command. He retired in early 1974 and passed away in December of the following year.This image is copyrighted and is the property of Willie Jones Jr. and is available only to members of the Armed Forces and Military organizations.
