Jorge F. Gonzalez, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Director of Engineering and Technical Management, Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, Robins Air Force Base, Ga. He serves as the science and engineering focal point for standardized engineering policies and processes. He provides technical advice and impartial engineering consultation to the center's leadership and directs deliberate career development, progression and training. He also provides specialized services for complex engineering projects and oversees center-level technology insertion. In addition, Mr. Gonzalez is responsible for overseeing a broad range of engineering and technical management policy spanning systems engineering; operational safety, suitability and effectiveness; industrial preparedness; and functional management of more than 1,500 military and civilian scientists and engineers.
Mr. Gonzalez has more than 30 years of experience in civil service. He began his career in 1980 as a structural engineer at the Aeronautical Systems Division in Dayton, Ohio. Throughout his career, Mr. Gonzalez has served in multiple senior technical leadership positions supporting life cycle management of numerous weapon systems in the Air Force inventory. He has held various senior staff position across Air Force Materiel Command. Mr. Gonzalez was appointed to the Senior Executive Service in 2010.
