Brig. Gen. John W. Doucette is Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff, Joint Warfare Centre, Supreme Allied Command for Transformation, NATO, Stavanger, Norway. The Joint Warfare Centre comprises representatives of NATO and Partnership for Peace member countries, and promotes and conducts joint and combined capability integration, concept and doctrine development, and operational-level training to improve NATO's capabilities and interoperability. Key responsibilities include battlestaff training for the operational headquarters of International Security Assistance Forces in Afghanistan and NATO Response Forces.

General Doucette earned his commission through Officer Training School in 1986. A command pilot with more than 2,700 flight hours, he has held a variety of flying and staff assignments. He has previously commanded an operations support squadron and flying training wing, and was vice commander of a fighter wing. He has also served in headquarters staff positions, including Chief of Northeast Asia Division in the Directorate for Strategic Plans and Policy, and special assistant to the Director, General and Flag Officer Matters, Joint Staff, the Pentagon, Washington, D.C. Prior to his current assignment, General Doucette was Commander, 36th Wing, Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, and Deputy Commander, Joint Region Marianas.
