Jeffrey W. Eggers, a Defense Intelligence Senior Level executive, is the Chief Technology Officer for the Deputy Chief of Staff for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. He manages Science and Technology policy and visions as related to the Air Force Intelligence community and it integration with other intelligence and operational community partners.
Mr. Eggers was commissioned in 1984 as a distinguished graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He attended the Euro-NATO joint jet pilot training program and served three tours flying the A-10 Thunderbolt II and one tour flying the MQ-1 Predator. His A-10 experience culminated as Chief of A-10 Operational Flight Test where he helped develop and test major upgrades and tactics. In June 2005, he became the first Reserve officer to serve as Deputy Commander of the 432nd Operations Group, performing operational, training, and test missions using the MQ-1 and MQ-9 aircraft in support of . Mr. Eggers is a command pilot with more than 3,000 hours in 10 aircraft. He was a Charles Stark Draper Fellow.
Mr. Eggers retired from the Air Force as a colonel in 2011 after 27 years of service. He most recently served at the Pentagon as the Senior Adviser to the Director of ISR Innovations. In these roles he delivered transformative capabilities in the areas of UAS operations, geo-spatial intelligence, mission planning and targeting.
