Mr. Curtis A. Rowland, a Defense Intelligence Senior Leader, is Senior Intelligence Engineer, Data Exploitation Directorate, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Mr. Rowland is responsible for overseeing the integrated geospatial intelligence analysis process and the quality of the resulting products. He ensures these products satisfy the needs of the organization's joint operational, acquisition and policy-making customers. He provides strategic and technical leadership for more than 600 people. Mr. Rowland also serves as the Air Force representative to the Foreign Denial and Deception Committee.

Mr. Rowland began his government service upon graduation from Wright State University, Ohio. He has served in a variety of positions across NASIC and its predecessor organizations since entering federal service in July 1982. He initially served as a foreign air-to-surface missile analyst where he specialized in the analysis of guidance and control systems on Soviet long-range cruise missiles. He was appointed to his first management position in 1989, and over the next 15 years managed several organizations that focused broad breadth of analytical areas including weapons proliferation, air and space force modernization and force employment. 

In 2002, Mr. Rowland was selected to be an Associate Chief Scientist for the Battlespace Production Directorate. This organization directly supported the combatant commander's deliberate planning activities and wartime execution. Throughout his career at NASIC, Mr. Rowland has helped to establish four new mission areas and stand up the associated organizational elements.
