12/17/2011 - WASHINGTON (AFNS) -- On Dec. 16, Congress passed and President Barack Obama signed a new continuing resolution that will provide funding for the Air Force through the end of Dec. 17.

As a result, the Air Force will continue normal operations and will not be shutting down today.

Air Force leaders know how difficult this uncertainty can be, and thank the workforce for patience and professionalism.

Further updates will be provided later today.
