1/14/2013 3:49:28 AM ET There is a reason the brass must first go to 'the munitions guys.' There are technical data and AFI requirements for all expended munitions residue to be 100-percent inspected by qualifiedcertified inspectors to ensure no live rounds remain. Hopefully this step is not being overlooked or skipped because it is an explosive safety concern. It is not uncommon to find live rounds in the expended brass turned-in from CATM ranges across the Air Force.
