Instead on bashing the method or approached in publishing this update we need a brief opinion on the content. I immediately looked at chapter 9 for all of the impact driven biographies of the current and former CMSAFs. I believe it set the stage for empire building and personal focus when these biography for the current an most recently retired CMSAF appear before history has had a chance to cement to viewimpact of these leaders. The AF should withhold the impact stories for at least 5 years post AF-career for the folks. I can only imagine that a great portion of the current CMSAF's time will be centered on wondering what the PDG will say about hisher career.

DC Maxwell AFB we are all supposed to expect perfection. Have you ever heard the term 'Excellence in all we do' That is a simple little reminder that we're not supposed to accept any thing less than the best. We owe it to our selves eachother and the citizens we have sworn to defend. Although perfection is the goal which we almost always fall short of we should all be big boys and girls and accept criticism when we make mistakes. There isn't any room for hurt feelings in the USAF We have a job to do

@DCI am no longer an instructor but I did spend some time in the AETC arena. Since you said it was supremely important to use grammar properly please share your thoughts on these items. What does paragraph 1.24.4 have to do with IraqAfghanistan What is going on with the third sentence of paragraph 1.24.5 What does paragraph 1.24.6 have to do with IraqAfghanistan What does paragraph 1.24.8 have to do with IraqAfghanistanWhat do you think about the paragraph after 1.24.12

ORF I am an instructor and I think proper use of grammar is supremely important. I hope you notice that you also made a grammatical error in your response to me. You left out the TO in between commitment and excellence. I would never question your commitment to excellent from that simple mistake. That is the point I am trying to make. We are human therefore we are flawed. Cut people some slack. Quit expecting perfection unless you are willing and able to deliver the same.

@DC - What Proper grammar and usage is taught in Grade School. The use of proper grammar speaks volumes about one's commitment excellence. If we can't trust them to have a level of excellence on the little things how can we trust their level of excellence on the big things

Reading the comments on this story confirms my suspicion that we have people in the Air Force who make zero mistakes. Clearly you dont understand the core value of Excellence in All We Do if you equate grammatical errors we can all make with someones commitment to excellence.

I wish that the Air Force would proof read the PDG before they publish it. I have only looked through it for a few minutes and have already found numerous grammatical errors. Are we not supposed to have Excellence in All We Do

Beg to differ both PDG links take you to the old PDG. Next time SAFPA needs to double check the facts and linksd before posting an article as this reflects poorly on you and the AF.

I just read the article. The problem is that at the moment of typing this comment e-publishing lists only the 1 Jul 2009 and 1 Oct 2013 versions. The 1 Oct 2011 version is not listed on e-publishing and the PDG website is loading the 1 Oct 2013 version under the 2011 link.
