Senior enlisted advisers mark Armed Forces Day
Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan B. Battaglia and Army Sgt. Maj. David O. Turnbull lead a formation of the senior enlisted leaders from the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and Coast Guard during a wreath-laying ceremony May 18, 2013, at the Tomb of the Unknown Solider at Arlington National Cemetery, Va. The ceremony celebrates the unification of all the military forces under a single Department of Defense, while honoring service member’s sacrifices throughout the nation’s history. Turnbull is the Military of Washington and Joint Force Headquarters National Capital Region command sergeant major, and Battaglia is the senior enlisted adviser to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
