Live streaming of AFA's annual conference available

FORT GEORGE G. MEADE, Md. (AFNS) --   The Air Force Association's Annual Air and Space Conference is set to take place at National Harbor, Md., Sept. 17-19.

Select conference events will be streamed live online at the Pentagon Channel's live stream site (here) and Air Force Link's live video page (here).

No video will be available at these links until the scheduled event times. The dates and times for all of the live events and speakers are:

Sept. 17
10:30 a.m. - Secretary of the Air Force Michael Donley, "State of the Air Force"
1 p.m. - Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric Shinseki
1:55 p.m. - Lt. Gen. James Jackson, chief of the U.S. Air Force Reserve
3:10 p.m. - Command chief master sergeant forum

Sept. 18
9 a.m. - Garry Reid, principal deputy assistant secretary of defense for special operations and low-intensity conflict
11 a.m. - Chief of Staff of the Air Force Gen. Mark Welsh III
2:10 p.m. - Lt. Gen. Harry Wyatt III, Air National Guard director
3:25 p.m. - Department of Defense budget discussion with Todd Harrison, a senior fellow for defense budget studies at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments

Sept. 19
9 a.m. - Ashton Carter, deputy secretary of defense
9:50 a.m. - Pulitzer Prize winner Charles Krauthammer
10:55 a.m. - Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff
1:10 p.m. - Chief Master Sgt. of the Air Force James Roy provides the "Enlisted Perspective"

The conference is open to all services' active duty, Reserve and Guard enlisted members and officers, as well as civilians, retirees, veterans and industry partners. Attendees are offered "major conference addresses, forums and professional development workshops that focus on challenges and accomplishments unique to the Air Force and the aerospace community," according to an AFA press release.
