Holloman officials mourn death of Airman
HOLLOMAN AIR FORCE BASE, N.M. (AFNS) --
Officials with the 49th Fighter Wing here have confirmed the death of a base Airman recently.
Senior Airman Sean Patrick McGinnis died Jan. 17 in Alamogordo, N.M.
Airman McGinnis, of Wichita Falls, Texas, was a munitions storage crewmember assigned to the 49th Maintenance Squadron.
"Members of Team Holloman are saddened by the loss of one our own," said Col. Jeff Harrigian, the 49th FW commander. "Kathy and I want to extend our thoughts and prayers to his family and friends. They should know we are grateful for his service to the Air Force, his country and Team Holloman. He will be missed."
The incident remains under investigation by the Alamogordo Department of Public Safety. The Air Force Office of Special Investigation staff is assisting as needed.
