Basketball: Air Force faces Georgia in NIT second round

U.S. AIR FORCE ACADEMY, Colo. --   The Air Force men's basketball team faces Georgia in the second round of the National Invitational Tournament March 19 in Clune Arena. 

The game will be televised by ESPNU.

Air Force, the top seed in the West Region, advanced to the second round following a 75-51 victory over eighth-seeded Austin Peay March 14. The win improved Air Force to 24-8 overall and ties the school record for most wins in a season. Fourth-seeded Georgia advanced with an 88-78 home victory over fifth-seeded Fresno State. Georgia improved to 19-13 overall on the year.

The winner of Monday's game advances to the NIT quarterfinals tentatively scheduled for March 21. If Air Force wins, the game will be played at Clune Arena.
