Letter to Airmen highlights Air Force Memorial dedication

  • Published Oct. 20, 2006
SAN ANTONIO (AFPN) --   In his latest "Letter to Airmen," Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. T. Michael Moseley discusses the two-day Air Force Memorial Dedication and the start of the year-long commemoration of the Air Force 60th anniversary.

"The Memorial dedication ceremonies showcased our rich heritage and paid tribute to the dedication, sacrifice and contributions of those who pioneered the skies, those who shape the air, space and cyberspace victories of today, and those who will continue to do so in the future," General Moseley wrote.

General Moseley said that the Memorial is a symbol of the people and technologies that have made the U.S. Air Force the world's preeminent air, space and cyberspace force.

He encouraged Airmen to read the speeches given at the dedication ceremony which are attachments to the "Letter to Airmen," released Oct.  20.
