The multi-station devices strengthen functional fitness, promote ready and resilient Airmen and families, and build morale and camaraderie as units exercise together and encourage each other to complete fitness challenges.

  • Mountain Home AFB Airmen train Chilean airmen, strengthen strategic relationships

    Tech. Sgt. Ian Messer and Tech. Sgt. Edgar Ayala, both 366th Maintenance Squadron aerospace propulsion craftsmen at Mountain Home Air Force Base, recently spent a month-long temporary duty at Cerro Moreno Air Base in Antofagasta, Chile. Their mission was to train the Chilean airmen to save money, time and manpower through hands-on training on jet engine fan blade repairs for the F100-Pratt and Whitney-W-220 jet engines.

Ott walked toward the nurses’ station, heard three more distinctive “pop” sounds and stepped outside to see a vehicle with nearby police attempting to assist the driver.
  • Tenn. ANG uses satellites to support humanitarian relief for Bahamas

    The 118th Intel Group is providing humanitarian relief support using commercial satellite imagery and off-the-shelf technology from commercial open sources. This technology helps identify safe routes from airfields to distribution centers, medical facilities, schools, hotels and freshwater sources.

    The AFH1 app includes the “The Air Force Handbook 1,” and study guide, as well as Air Force Instruction 36-2618, The Enlisted Force Structure, known as the “The Little Brown Book.” There is also access to the “The Little Blue Book” which focuses on the profession of arms. Other tools such as flash cards, audio and practice tests can also be found on the app.
