Officials test commercial fuel to replace JP-8 fuel

Mike Thiede uses a jet fuel thermal oxidation tester to test samples of commercial Jet A fuel in a lab at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Air Force Petroleum Agency researchers have launched an initiative to evaluate the use of commercial jet fuel in place of military standard JP-8 fuel.
