A fallen hero is laid to rest

U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Airmen carry the remains of Tech. Sgt. Phillip A. Myers during his funeral April 27 at Arlington National Cemetery. Sergeant Myers, from Hopewell, Va., was killed April 4 in Afghanistan by an improvised explosive device. His family was the first to allow media coverage of the dignified transfer of remains at Dover Air Force Base, Del., since Defense Secretary Robert Gates lifted the 1991 ban April 6.
