The scene on U.S. Route 95, mile marker 100, north of Las Vegas, Nev., on Aug. 5, 2014, where three Nellis Air Force Base, Nev., Airmen assigned to the 820th RED HORSE, who were assisted by three members of the 799th Air Base Squadron, saved an elderly couple whose car was stuck in the mud during a flash flood Aug. 4. The Airmen were driving south bound from their work sites at Creech AFB when they saw the couple’s car stuck in the median, and took swift action before the flood carried the car away.
