Air Force Week New York City Proclamation Ceremony
Frank Milano (brown uniform) stands while the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard Drill Team leads the arrival of the Official Party of the Air Force Week New York City proclamation ceremony at the USS Intrepid on Aug. 24, 2010. Mr. Milano of New York City, was a Corporal in the Army Air Force, stationed in Europe with the 9th Air Force during World War II. The team is from Bolling Air Force Base. The event at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum was highlighted by a six-ship flyover by the USAF Thunderbirds. The Honorable Michael Donley, Secretary of the Air Force attended, along with General Raymond Johns, Commander of Air Mobility Command. The Police Commissioner of the City of New York, the Honorable Raymond Kelly, represented NYC. Mr. Greg Kelly of "Good Day New York" was emcee for this event. (U.S. Air Force photo/Lance Cheung)
