  • Hawaii F-22s complete DFE operations out of MCAS Iwakuni

    Throughout their time in Japan, the Airmen deployed from the 199th Fighter Squadron and 19th FS at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii, trained alongside their Marine and Koku-Jieitai, or Japan Air Self-Defense Force, counterparts in support of the National Defense Strategy’s effort in maintaining global peace and stability.

  • B-52 bomber crews complete live-fire training with Army in Hawaii

    During two separate days, two B-52 bomber crews coordinated with members of the 25th Air Support Operations Squadron and U.S. Army Pacific 2nd Brigade, 25th Infantry Division, 2nd Brigade Combat Team joint terminal attack controllers, also known as JTACs, to deliver a mixed payload of unguided, precision-guided and laser-guided weapons.
  • US hosts experts from 16 countries at Indo-Pacific Safety Air Forces Exchange

    The Indo-Pacific Command and Pacific Air Forces exchange involved the participation of 16 countries, in addition to the United States, throughout the Indo-Pacific region. The purpose of the ISAFE, which started in 2013, is to facilitate high-level exchange of aviation safety concepts, processes and best practices to enhance proactive safety and risk management.

  • Airlift unit tests mettle in joint Patriot Palm exercise

    Teaming up with Federal Emergency Management Agency, the FBI, Army, Coast Guard and Marine Corps, the 315th Contingency Response Flight completed Exercise Patriot Palm, a joint-service emergency and natural disaster response exercise, coordinated by the Air Force Reserve. The event is designed to integrate first responders from federal, state and local agencies, and the military by providing rapid response training.
