Employees attended the Jan. 22 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Unity Celebration at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville, to honor King as an activist, humanitarian and leader of the Civil Rights Movement. Huntsville Center celebrated, “Weaving Diversity into the Fabric of America: We All Have a Place Beneath the Stars!,” which highlighted a multitude of cultures including European, Hispanic, Indian/Native, African and Asian Pacific American.
The guest speaker at Defense Supply Center Columbus celebration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was Emmanuel Olawale, a trial lawyer in the Columbus area. Olawale described how his life story is a testament that the American Dream is not just a fantasy, but a reality.

Elmer Hill, the second oldest World War II veteran, was recognized during a holiday concert by the U.S. Air Force Band Dec. 15, 2013, at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, Udvar-Hazy Center, Chantilly, Va.
