BRIGADIER GENERAL CHRISTOPHER F. SKOMARS Brig. Gen. Christopher F. Skomars is the Director of Innovation, Analyses, and Leadership Development, Headquarters Air Force Global Strike Command, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana. He is responsible for conducting analyses and assessments, leadership development, and ensuring continuous improvement throughout the command. His focus is on shaping AFGSC culture, inspiring innovation, and empowering Airmen. General Skomars entered the Air Force in 1985 and was commissioned through the Reserve Officers' Training Corps after graduating from the University of Maine at Orono. The majority of his experience is in a full-time status and includes extended mobilizations during operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom, and a two year joint assignment on Active Guard Reserve status with North American Aerospace Defense Command/U.S. Northern Command.
