    Air Force tests plasma reactor to degrade, destroy synthetic chemical compounds in groundwater

    Clarkson and GSI Environmental were awarded this research project to demonstrate the effectiveness of a plasma reactor for the treatment of water containing PFOS and PFOA. Wright-Patterson AFB was the installation chosen for the field demonstration.

    Hardened aircraft shelters provide protection for personnel inside to perform necessary maintenance on aircraft, but the fifth-generation fighters, like the F-35, have very different sound profiles. This creates the need for acoustics testing to ensure the safety of the aircraft and crew.
