Fallen Airman remembered by comrades
With a packed room of not just people, but also emotion, Staff Sgt. Alexandria Morrow was remembered by colleagues and friends Mar 23, 2017 during her memorial service at her deployed location.
Members of her deployed unit, 332nd Expeditionary Maintenance Squadron, shared stories and memories that painted a picture of a weapons load crew chief who touched the lives of many.

Airman improves intelligence career field through innovations
Tech. Sgt. Kevin from Creech Air Force Base, Neveda, has been an innovator for the intelligence career field with for the past decade. One of his creations, called the Squadron Intelligence Reconnaissance Interface, codenamed SIRI, is an application used by remotely piloted aircraft crew members to execute the mission more efficiently while being more situationally aware.

Air power for the airborne: Paratrooper looks skyward for lessons in leadership
The Airman Leadership School on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson graduated a class as normal Dec. 18, 2014, but this class had some graduating members who were out of the ordinary. In addition to the normal class of Airmen who lined up for handshakes and graduation certificates, there were a few Sailors, a few Coast Guardsmen and one Paratrooper from the 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division.

Sudan 'Lost Boy' serves as Kadena NCO
"At the age of 10, I have seen death; I have buried other kids -- at the age of 10," he said, a sadness moving into his eyes. "But at the same time, I've rebounded. If I have to stay in that hole and think of those horrible situations I've been in, then I would not be here today."
Labeled a "Lost Boy of Sudan" by the United Nations, along with more than 30,000 others who were children in Sudan in the mid-1980s, Staff Sgt. Madut Bul a 33rd Helicopter Maintenance Unit supply specialist -- had experienced what most can't imagine.

Barnes Center rebuilds senior NCO education curriculum
Developers and faculty at the Thomas N. Barnes Center for Enlisted Education kicked the level of learning up a notch with version 6 of the distance learning Senior NCO Course 14. The new version replaced version 5 in late 2013.

Top NCO debuts new NCO, Petty Officer book
The military's top enlisted service member debuted a new noncommissioned officer and petty officer book here today in what he called a significant moment for all enlisted leaders.
Marine Corps Sgt. Maj. Bryan B. Battaglia, senior enlisted advisor to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was joined by the chairman, Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, as he unveiled "The Noncommissioned Officer and Petty Officer: Backbone of the Armed Forces."
