Default Air Force Logo Undergrad flying training applications due in December
The 2015 undergraduate flying training selection board originally scheduled for Jan. 20-23 will now convene Feb. 17-20 and associated application suspenses have shifted by approximately one month, Air Force Personnel Center officials said Oct. 10.

First Lt Rob Hansen beat a bout of Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer during training, graduate and get awarded the F-22 Raptor. He spent 16 months fighting to get back in the program after his diagnosis. Upon graduating as a distinguished graduate for scoring in the top 10 percent of the class, he was awarded the Daedalian Award for top formation pilot; the Flying Excellence award for the top overall flying score, and the commander’s trophy for being the top graduate. For one new Air Force pilot, "living the dream" is much more than a cheap throwaway line. To 1st Lt. Rob Hansen of the 80th Flying Training Wing, "living" means surviving stage 2 Hodgkin's lymphoma. "The dream" means graduating at the top of his undergraduate pilot training class and earning a slot flying the world's most advanced fighter.
