MAJOR GENERAL EVERETT G. ODGERS

Maj. Gen. Everett G. Odgers is Comptroller, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. As the command's chief financial officer, General Odgers is responsible for more than 35 percent of the Air Force's appropriated budget. He provides executive and technical guidance to 5,000 financial people supporting weapon system research, development, and test and repair at 16 AFMC locations.

General Odgers enlisted in the Air Force in 1963 and was commissioned a second lieutenant in July 1972 after completing Officer Training School. His career spans all levels of comptroller and logistics positions. These include assignments as fiscal control officer, auditor, major command budget staff officer and budget director, maintenance director at an air logistics center and as a major command comptroller. Prior to assuming his current position, General Odgers was Director of Budget Operations and Personnel with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller.
