BRIGADIER GENERAL JONATHAN D. GEORGE Brig. Gen. Jonathan D. George is the Director, Strategic Capabilities Policy, National Security Council, Executive Office of the President, Washington, D.C. General George was commissioned in 1981 and has had a variety of operational and staff assignments, including command of a bomb squadron, a bomb group, an air expeditionary wing, a bomb wing and an intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance wing. His staff assignments have been at the Headquarters U.S. Air Force, U.S. Strategic Command, U.S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, Department of Agriculture and Department of Energy. The general is a command pilot with more than 4,000 flying hours in various strike, reconnaissance and training aircraft.
