LORA H. MUCHMORE

Lora H. Muchmore, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, Management and Assistant Deputy Chief Management Officer at the Office of the Under Secretary of the Air Force, Arlington, Virginia. She is responsible for improving the effectiveness and efficiency of Air Force business operations. She advises Air Force senior leadership on establishing strategic performance goals and managing Air Force wide cross-functional activities to meet those goals. She also serves as the Air Force’s Assistant Director of Business Transformation, overseeing implementation of continuous process improvement initiatives Air Force wide.

Prior to her current position, Ms. Muchmore served as the Chief Innovation Officer and a Director in the Office of the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer at the Pentagon. She also served as the Director of Defense Business System for the Office of the Chief Management Officer, a Director in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ National Security Practice, and the Director of Business Integration for the Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Installations and Environment.

Ms. Muchmore has over 25 years of experience identifying and applying technologies to improve the business operations of the DoD. She has led technology efforts in the areas of property management, energy management, environment management, base security, financial management and contract management. Ms. Muchmore has also received various awards for her accomplishments at the federal and DoD levels.
