Brig. Gen. Anthony D. Babcock serves as the Director of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois. He is responsible for policy, guidance, training and resources in support of more than 49,000 total-force logistics, civil engineering and force protection personnel, and more than 1,000 aircraft at 10 major installations in the United States and nearly 100 locations worldwide. His directorate also provides direct support to 18th Air Force, AMC’s sole warfighting numbered Air Force, and the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center, the Air Force's preeminent authority for expeditionary operations.
Brig. Gen. Babcock was commissioned in 1996 from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He is a Joint Qualified Officer, has served in various mobility, special operations, fighter and force development organizations, and has completed staff officer assignments at Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Headquarters Air Force, and the Joint Staff. Prior to his current assignment, the general served as the Aircraft Maintenance Division Chief, Headquarters Air Force Directorate of Logistics, Engineering and Force Protection, and as the Aircraft Maintenance Officer Career Field Manager, at the Pentagon.
