Major General ARTHUR E. JACKMAN JR

Maj. Gen. Arthur E. Jackman, Jr. is the Mobilization Assistant to The Judge Advocate General, Office of The Judge Advocate General. General Jackman assists The Judge Advocate General in the professional oversight of more than 2,200 judge advocates, 350 civilian attorneys, 1,400 enlisted paralegals and 500 civilians assigned worldwide. In addition to overseeing an array of military justice, operational, international and civil law functions, General Jackman provides legal advice to the Air Staff and commanders at all levels.

Previously, General Jackman served on an extended active duty tour as Air Reserve Component Adviser to The Judge Advocate General, Headquarters U.S. Air Force. His principal duties were to provide senior-level advice to The Judge Advocate General on all matters concerning the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard programs. Prior to being the ARC Advisor to The Judge Advocate General, General Jackman was the Deputy Staff Judge Advocate for Air Force Reserve Command at Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.  

General Jackman served on active duty for over five years from December 1986 until August 1992 after receiving a four-year ROTC scholarship and a three-year educational delay to attend law school. He transferred to the Reserves in 1992 and has served as an IMA until his assignment as the DSJA for Air Force Reserve Command.
