Accelerate Change: Empowered Airmen

We live in a world that is driven by rapidly changing technology and an environment that includes aggressive and capable global competitors. Airmen are key to cutting unnecessary bureaucracy, recognizing and understanding our competition, and thinking of creative ways we can reshape the design of our Air Force. The Air Force must accelerate, must change, and must prepare for the future!

This page is dedicated towards highlighting the accomplishments of our talented Airmen at all levels and to show the impact they can make when they are informed and empowered to problem solve and make smart recommendations and decisions.

Restoring our Ecosystem
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District
Oct. 15, 2019 | 5:39
America's Everglades was once vibrant, free-flowing "River of Grass," but the thriving ecosystem was reduced by 50 percent over time. The damage was due to development, population increases, economic growth, and the naivety of the environmental impacts. Since the year 2000, when Congress authorized the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Plan, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and its partners continuously work to restore the right quantity of water, at the right quality, to be distributed to the right place at the right time throughout South Florida.
