The neighboring nations of Senegal and The Gambia embraced the spirit of African Maritime Law Enforcement Partnership in combined efforts to enforce their exclusive economic zones with the assistance of the U.S. Navy’s Fast Frigate, USS Simpson and a Law Enforcement Detachment from the U.S. Coast Guard.
