Dyess AFB model of energy conservation
A solar day lighting system, consisting of more than 100 five- by six-foot panels integrated with the electric lighting, is being used to reduce the electric load in ten buildings at Dyess Air Force Base, Texas. The base environmental office implemented several energy-efficient programs as part of their go-green initiative and improved cost-efficiency. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Cecilio Ricardo)
