Personal Profile:

Retired SSgt Keith Sekora joined the U.S. Army in 1989 as a Military Police Officer. During his Army career, he was stationed in Berlin, Germany during the time the Wall came down and several other deployments. He separated from the Army in 1998 and became a police officer in Fayetteville, NC outside of Ft Bragg. In 2000, he took a job as a deputy sheriff in Washington State and in 2004 he joined the Air Force Reserves as Security Forces in the Combat Arms flight. In 2006, he switched over to the Explosive Ordnance Disposal flight as an EOD Operator. SSgt Sekora deployed in support of OIF and OEF. He was wounded in Afghanistan in Nov 2010 while conducting an arms buy back with Army Special Operations Forces. He was medically retired from the military in May 2012 and from the sheriff’s office in Aug 2012.
